Change Management

Change management is a wide concept

As you know, people are mostly reluctant to change something.

The most important in a change process: Find as quickly as possible the “locomotives”.

The “Gauss Curve” describes this situation :

Within the “Brakes” some other “locomotives” are present.

That’s people with idea, who wants to do something for the Company, but mostly disappointed.

Find them; they are powerful new “locomotives”!

The change situation

Most of the long term changes are reached going first thru a valley, sometimes called “desperation valley”.

Figures are not going directly in the good direction.

Behaviours must be changed

That’s the most crucial part of change process, where a lot of people wants to stop it,.

At this stage, if the process is abandoned, this may have a lot of negative consequences in the future, like

“We already did it some years ago, but it did not delivers the expected results”

Be prepared to go thru this valley, or change nothing!

If a new manager must be recruited, the change manager will participate to the recruitment process.

When on board, the new manager will be coached.

The change manager must be sure that all necessary information is transferred to the new manager.
